KAREN and RICK-Anniversary session

Here's a sneak peek from Karen and Ric's anniversary photo session that I had the pleasure of doing on one of our many cold, late autumn days. I had a great time getting to know them--definitely a great couple! They are the co-owners of Bay's Market--our favorite place to get meat--hands down! It's always fresh--and I feel so much more confident buying local--you know where it's coming from--not to mention you keep the sales local--something that we try to do as much as possible--and appreciate others who do the same with my business!

We did most of the photos here in the studio--and were able to do some with their furbaby--who just happens to be absolutely adorable! Love those fluffy paws! We finally were able to sneak out to Rising Park and get in a few outdoor shots--in between the almost constant rain. I had a great time working with them--enjoy the sneak peek--lots more to come!

NATASHA and DOUG--Engagement session

Finally--a sneak peek of Natasha and Doug's engagement session. Between computer issues and blog loading issues, these have been a long time coming. I just had to post some though, because I love, love, love how they came out. I've known Natasha for several years--I did her senior pictures--and her brother's just a couple of years ago. I was thrilled to hear that she was getting married and wanted to have me as her photographer--even more once I met Doug--they are a great match! Since they decided to move up their wedding date, we had to hustle to get the engagement session done so we could do a guest book and get it back in time. Their favorite time of the year just happens to be fall--so it was just perfect.

We met up at Hargus Lake(A.W. Marion State Park) just outside of Circleville. I used to go over there when I dated a boy from Circleville--way back in the day. I remembered that it had some beautiful autumn color--but this year, I was just blown away when I saw the variety. It was amazing the difference between there and here in Lancaster. We had very little color and theirs was just magical! I'm sure there are all sorts of logical explanations--but none of that matters--they got their fall color--and how!

That same evening we met up at the Fairfield County Fair for some evening photos--something I'd been wanting to do for a while. It was fun--and another reason to grab some Crazy Taters(since my favorite french fry stand is no more).

I'm really, really looking forward to working with them again--in just a week--and have no doubt we'll get some more magic for wedding day!

BRET and MELISSA-Operation Love ReUnited Session

Here is the sneak peek from Bret and Melissa's Op-Love(www.oplove.org)session. I had the pleasure to meet and work with them the day before Bret had to leave for his next deployment in Iraq. Bret's mom came along and we got some mom & son photos too. They also brought the newest member of the family--Trigger--their new puppy. It was great to meet and get to work with the whole crew. I wish Bret a safe time overseas and a big "thank you" for his service!

KELLIE and BEN

Sneak peek from Kellie and Ben's annual photos. I always love meeting up with Kellie and Ben to do photos for their Christmas cards! We headed down the road from their house to this cute little covered bridge at the crack of dawn, since Ben is a farmer and needed to get out in the fields. The girls(their furbabies) were very cooperative for the photos--best posing from them yet! Even when the neighbor's dog jumped her fence and ran across the road to try to join us for photos, they were good girls! Lots more photos to come--then choices to be made!

KAREN and SCOTT

Karen and Scott are one of my wedding couples from a few years back. They called to get some photos with their pups, Daisy and Duke for the holidays. Daisy and Duke wanted no part of the antlers--but it was fun trying. It's always great to see my past clients and get to catch up on their latest news--and Daisy and Duke are just too cute!
