MARISSA and EDWARD-Wedding at Heritage Golf Club

What a beautiful wedding and what a wonderful couple! We had the pleasure of photographing Marissa and Ed's wedding at the Heritage Golf Club last weekend. From start to finish it was an incredibly beautiful event. Every detail was perfect--from Marissa's gown to the wonderful ceremony to the awesome Jim Lynch Band playing at the reception and keeping the dance floor packed with the crowd dancing the night away. It was a perfect start of their new life as a married couple!

GEORGE FAMILY Photos-Lancaster Ohio

I had a great time photographing the George family including their furry friends. They hadn't had photos taken together for a long time--so mom got everyone together for the session. I feel better about bribing my kids to get them to do things now--I heard something about some steak dinners for the guys in return for their cooperation. I had a good time with the whole crew!

DAWN and CHRIS-Carroll Ohio wedding photography

Well, we finally have power again!!! I didn't realize just how little I could get done--and how behind I've gotten once again with no electricity for 3+ days. In the photography business, electricity is a necessity--without it, there is no editing, no ordering from the lab, no posting to the galleries and blog. Then there is the cleanup of the yard and the refrigerator--and of course the shopping to replace all of the ruined items. What a week it's been!

But on to happier subjects. We had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Dawn and Chris at Wildermuth Chapel--her father is the pastor--and it is the perfect little country church--especially on the beautiful day that they had. With blue skies and fluffy white clouds, it looked like something from a magazine.

We moved to downtown Lancaster for the reception at the Wilson Ballroom, with a quick stop at the fountain for a quick photo shoot--and then on to the reception for lots of fun with friends and family. What a perfect wedding day!

JESSICA and ADAM after wedding photography session

When Adam and Jessica got married in June, Adam's mom was so sick she was unable to attend the wedding. Of course, Adam was just heartbroken over it--he had looked forward to his mother sharing in the day. Fast forward to last weekend, Adam and Jessica were able to make the trip back to Ohio for a long weekend. They used this as an opportunity to get some wedding photos with Adam's mom. We all headed to Jeffrey Mansion, with Adam and Jessica in full wedding attire. I think it allowed them to relive a bit of the wedding day and share it with Adam's mother and allow her to get a taste of the day and have her own special moments with Adam and Jessica.

JANET and TIM'S Wedding at Ohio Village

Tim is another old friend of mine from my days at Cord Camera. When he called and told me he was getting married, I couldn't wait to meet Janet. When I did, it wasn't hard to see why Tim knew she was "the one." They are such a perfect couple and compliment each other in so many ways. It was a great pleasure to photograph their wedding last weekend at the Ohio Village at the Ohio Historical Center. I had not been there for years--and never photographed a wedding there--and was totally blown away by how beautiful the church is. Their guests were entertained on the way in by a marching band on their way strolling through the quaint village. There was an old-fashioned baseball game going on at one end--just so unique.

To add some real excitement, someone set off the fire alarm at the church just a half hour before ceremony time--and it continued to go off until security showed up to turn it off. If the beauty of the surroundings and the lovely ceremony aren't enough to make the evening memorable for their friends and families--I'll bet they won't forget that!

The evening progressed with them taking off into the sunset in a really cool vintage car and then on to the reception. They are really into dancing and had several choreographed dances--their first as well as one with a group with whom they dance often--both of which were very impressive--definitely the fairytale wedding that Janet wanted!
