ALICIA and DAVE-Ohio and WV wedding photography

Alicia and Dave's wedding in Cadiz, Ohio was our last scheduled big wedding for this year. All I can say is, Wow! We definitely got to wrap up our wedding season with a wonderful wedding and a great group of people! We started out at St. Teresa's in Cadiz for the beautiful ceremony. From there, we headed to Oglebay Resort for some photos with the bridal party. The weather was threatening all day and we finally got some rain when we were wrapping things up at Oglebay. Dave is quite the golfer and we did have time to get some photos in with the cute "Bridal Golf Ball Bouquet" and clubs for the guys--I have to say it was one of the most clever surprises that I've seen in a long time--and so much fun!

From Oglebay we headed to our reception destination--River City in Wheeling, West Virginia www.rivercitybanquets.com I would have to say that this is by far one of the coolest locations that I have ever photographed a wedding reception. We had the pleasure of working there a couple of years ago and were so excited when Alicia said that she and Dave would be having their reception there. It is a wonderful old building that has been gutted and had some gorgeous skylights installed with an incredible staircase in the center going to the third floor. It is a wonderful, eclectic mix of the old with new, modern features intertwined--and it works beautifully!(something I would have liked to see done with the Lancaster Glass building before it was torn down). It was such a good fit for Alicia and Dave's reception too--since it was also a blend of old traditions--like a "Sweetheart Dance," which was new to me--as well as lots of new beginnings.

Alicia and Dave are such a fun couple and their wedding was a reflection of this. I know they will have many happy years together--and wish them luck in their next endeavor--house hunting!
