JEN and KIDS-- OP LOVE

Veteran's Day is such an appropriate day to post these photos from Jen's family Operation Love-Reunited(Op-Love)www.oplove.org session. It was a beautiful day when we met up at Creekside in Gahanna. Jen had the kids dressed in some cute camo outfits and we set out to take some photos to send overseas to Daddy. These are a few from our session. She brought the greatest props--lots of the stuff belongs to her husband--but the best one of all was the "Flat Daddy." If you're not familiar with Flat Stanley, you may not understand what it is--but having children, I am familiar with the book. Their story is the opposite of Flat Stanley, however. In the book, Flat Stanley gets to travel all over the world and experience lots of great adventures. In this case, Daddy is traveling all over the world defending our freedom--and "Flat Daddy" gets to stay right here at home with the family--you can see the creases in him from all the hugs.

I loved getting the opportunity to meet Jen and her adorable kids. I love doing the Op-Love sessions and this was a great family to work with. Much appreciation for all of our Veterans--those who are serving now, and those who have served in the past. Thank you to all of the families who are waiting here at home for their safe return!

Matthew, Amanda and Kids-Op Love Session

I had the pleasure of working with Matthew, Amanda and their boys for an Operation Love-Reunited session recently. This is the organization of which I am a part, that provides a free photo session to deploying or recently deployed members of our military(www.oplove.org to get all the details). Matthew just came home from deployment overseas, and I was honored to be able to capture some photos of him with his family. The smallest member of the family wasn't too happy at first, after being awakened from a nap on the drive here. Once he was wide awake, we were able to get some happy photos with the rest of the family, and especially playing with his brother. I have to thank our dog Jakeybob for helping to get him to that point. He was headed out for a walk, and stopped to entertain the kids for a few minutes.

OP-LOVE SESSION-WAMPLER

I had the opportunity to do my second OP-LOVE session a few days ago with the Wampler & Delong families. For anyone who isn't familiar with OP-LOVE it is an organization (Operation Love Reunited or www.oplove.org) comprised of photographers who support military families by providing a family photo session for members of the military who are deploying, on-leave from deployment, or for their homecoming. If you are interested in more information, or would like more details, you can either give me a call, e-mail or visit the OP-LOVE website for all of the details.

Daniel is getting ready to deploy to Kuwait after a couple of months of training. He is very excited to be heading out. I had the chance to spend a bit of time with him and his family(and his girlfriend!) and capture some fun moments between them all. This is a sneak-peek from the session. I wish Daniel the best in his upcoming adventures and hope to get together with everyone again when the mission is complete. I had a great time with this group!
