ASHLEY and NATE-Wedding at The Bluestone

Here is the first look at Ashley and Nate's wedding at The Bluestone in downtown Columbus. I have wanted to photograph an event here ever since it opened as The Bar of Modern Art(BOMA), several years ago. The whole idea of converting an old church into event space was totally fascinating to me--especially given my love of stained glass. All I have to say is the space did not disappoint me. It was fantastic from top to bottom. I could have spent all day just moving from room to room and getting great shots. Ashley and Nate's choice proved to be even better than expected when the weather didn't cooperate. When a thunderstorm moved in we used the time that was planned for visiting a nearby park, for moving around The Bluestone and exploring some of the great spaces.

Ashley and Nate planned their ceremony to perfectly compliment their personalities with the chemistry "experiment" replacement of a unity candle being one of the highlights. It worked perfectly and was a hit with the wedding guests! After the ceremony it was time for dinner and the cake, then time to dance the night away. After having a full dance floor until the end of the party, they took off through a sparkler finale--and just missed the next thunderstorm!

LIZ and Paul-Wedding at Cheers Chalet

What a beautiful wedding--in every way! Liz and Paul's wedding day had it all. It was an incredibly beautiful day, Liz was a beautiful bride, Paul was a handsome groom, the wedding party and both families looked fabulous, and Cheers Chalet is always a beautiful venue. The day was perfect from start to finish. I loved working with Liz and Paul for their engagement session last summer, and getting the opportunity to spend their wedding day with them was even better--their friends and family are just as fantastic as they are.

The ceremony was under the gazebo and performed by their family pastor--so very personal and extra-special. After the ceremony they had the beautiful horse & carriage from the Granville Carriage Company--a beautiful touch. The reception was filled with fantastic food, lots of dancing, a fun photo booth, and wrapped up with a dance under the stars with their friends and family surrounding them with sparklers--absolutely perfect!

MELISSA and JEREMY-Winter Wedding at Cheers Chalet

Here is a long-awaited sneak peek from Melissa and Jeremy's beautiful winter wedding at Cheers Chalet. It was our last wedding of 2010 and was a wonderful holiday gathering for Melissa and Jeremy's family and friends. Everything about the day sparkled--from the details on Melissa's gorgeous gown and gorgeous shoes, to the sparkly snowflakes on the gorgeous cake, to the sparklers that the guests lit as Melissa and Jeremy made their getaway.

Since it was an evening wedding in the winter, and Melissa and Jeremy wanted to get some outdoor photos, they had a special "reveal" moment in front of the Christmas tree. The looks on both of their faces as they caught the first look of each other were so special--tears of joy included! Then we were out and about to capture a few outdoor photos before the last of the light was gone. Check out Melissa's Uggs for the outdoor photos--love them!

The ceremony was especially memorable as it was performed by a combination of Melissa's uncle and her father taking over once he escorted Melissa down the aisle. With a special candle lighting in memory of Jeremy's father, the unity candle and special music by Jeremy's brother and his fiancee--the sparkling theme continued.

The reception had everyone dancing away under the sparkling stars. When it was time for the bride and groom to make their escape, everyone headed outside and lit sparklers for their getaway. It was a bit windy--so it was a bit of a challenge--but still a sparkling end to a perfect wedding day!
