BRIE and KIRK-New Albany Wedding

Here is a sneak peek from Brie and Kirk's wedding. They have the most fabulous, exciting love story and their wedding day just made it that much better. The wedding and reception were held at the gorgeous home of Brie's parents. Brie and Kirk met when they both had taken off to explore the world and both ended up working together in New Zealand. They hit it off instantly, and the rest is history. Kirk is from England, and he came back to the United States with Brie and they began planning their life together.

The ceremony was by the pond--which was absolutely beautiful. From there, they moved to the back of the house for the tented reception, with wonderful food catered by none other than Brie's mother. Brie and Kirk and the guests danced the afternoon and evening away with a special song list provided by Brie and Kirk including lots of music from Kirk's homeland--to the delight of all of his family who had made the trek from England to share in the big day. The evening wrapped up with a gorgeous sunset. I'm sure this is just the beginning of a wonderful life full of adventure for the two of them!

KRISTY and BRIAN-Piqua Ohio Wedding

Kristy and Brian had one of the most beautiful, intimate weddings that I have had the honor to photograph. Ironically, it was nothing like the wedding that they had planned. A family health emergency caused a change of locations--from the original site in Hide-A-Way Hills, to the bride's hometown of Piqua. The new location was absolutely beautiful. It was a restored polo barn at a private residence that would rival some of the most unique wedding locations that we have seen anywhere. Best of all, it was close to home, and had a meaningful history to the bride and her family.

Kristy and Brian had their ceremony right at sunset following dinner with their guests. A bit of a reverse from the typical wedding day--but no grumpy guests waiting for dinner after the ceremony! Their dog Maggie did a great job as ringbearer. Following the ceremony we took off for some romantic, sunset photos. Then it was time to cut the cake and they spent the rest of the evening visiting with friends and family and sitting by the fire. Kristy did get in a dance with Brian's grandpa--which was a dance that had been promised long before the wedding day. Kristy and Brian's ability to roll with the changes and adapt their plans says a lot for their solid relationship--and their ability to place a priority on what really matters. They understood that it's not about the wedding--it's about the marriage--and the joining together of the families and friends. Their wedding day wasn't what they had originally planned--but may just have ended up even better! All in all, a perfect wedding day!

BRIANNE AND MATT MATERNITY

I drove down to Athens to photograph Brianne and Matt's maternity session. I have to say that maternity photos rank up there as one of my favorite types of sessions. It's always so exciting, with the expectation of the new member of the family that will be arriving soon. Brianne and Matt are so-o-o excited and are all ready for the new addition. I wish them the best and hope I get to meet the new member of the family soon!

MISSY and JEFF-Buffalo Falls Wedding

Here is a quick look at Missy and Jeff's wedding last weekend at Buffalo Falls Lodge in Hocking Hills. Buffalo Falls is a brand new facility--just opened this year http://www.buffalofallslodge.com/index.html
It is beautiful--definitely a gorgeous location for a wedding. Missy and Jeff and their friends and family came from West Virginia. They definitely made a party of it! What a wonderful group of people to work with!

It was a day of firsts for me. As well as being the first time for a wedding at Buffalo Falls, it was also the first time that I ever had a bride dance down the aisle for her processional. It was so cute! She and her brother had a whole routine--and the groom was as surprised as the guests(especially the ones that found themselves a part of the routine). It was awesome!

After the ceremony, they had a fantastic dinner catered by The Olde Dutch Restaurant from Logan--with the cutest cake for desert. The rest of the evening consisted of volleyball, cornhole and dancing--along with a lot of partying. We had a great time being a part of the big day!
