DANIELLE AND DAN-Baby Bump

Danielle and Dan are having a baby!!!! I was so excited to hear the news from them! They were one of my wedding couples last year--and we had so much fun working with them on their beautiful wedding day(which was featured in the newest issue of Columbus Bride--more on that to come!). Needless to say, I was thrilled when Danielle contacted me with the exciting news that they were expecting a new addition to the family. We headed to Franklin Park Conservatory for the session--since our Ohio weather is still not feeling like spring. Danielle is nothing short of adorable as a mommy-to-be. Dan was his usual funny and entertaining self--making for some fun, silly photos in addition to all the gorgeous ones!

I was honored to get to capture this next stage in their family life. Coming up next--when baby Liam makes his appearance--a newborn session. I can't wait to get to meet him!

KATHRYN and MIKE

Perfection! That's the only word to describe Kathryn and Mike's wedding day. From the time I met up with Kathryn and the girls at her friend's incredible home that's just around the corner from Franklin Park, I knew that it was going to be a wonderful wedding experience. Once the girls were ready to go, we coordinated a special "reveal" moment with Kathryn and Mike in the bridal garden at Franklin Park Conservatory. This gave them a private (well, almost--we were there documenting it as it happened--from afar) moment to get the first look--and the first moments together before the craziness of the wedding began. After a bit of private time, we were off to get some great photos around Franklin Park. It was then back to the Conservatory to do the family and bridal party photos. We wrapped those up, then it was time for the wedding ceremony. The ceremony itself was simple and beautiful on the West Terrace of Franklin Park Conservatory just as the sun was beginning to set. After the ceremony, it was time for the cocktail hour on the upper level of the West Terrace. I'll get some incredible reception photos posted later!

KARRIE and CHRIS--Engagement Session

Here is a sneak peek from Sunday's engagement session with Carrie and Chris. It was a fun morning and we had Franklin Park Conservatory almost to ourselves since we were early-birds. I didn't realize that the butterflies were already there--and I do love the butterflies. We even managed to include a few in some photos. We wrapped things up with a few outside in the park since it was another gorgeous day. I had a fun day and look forward to the wedding!

HILLARY and BILLY

I met up with Hillary and Billy at Franklin Park Conservatory to do their engagement session. It was my first time meeting Billy. They both just arrived back in Columbus for Christmas a few days earlier--Hillary had just returned from a trip to Africa and Billy is in the Marines and Stationed in Washington. They both had weather related delays--so they were thrilled to make it home to share their Christmas with their families and each other. I was thrilled that they were able to take a few hours out of their holiday time so we could squeeze in their engagement session.

We decided to start at the conservatory--since the weather has been so unpredictable. It was a good call. It started pouring as we were getting ready to leave. The rain didn't stop them from making it to our second stop in downtown Columbus. The Ohio Theatre holds special meaning to them from time spent there together. Unfortunately, the timing was not going to let us into the theater for photos--but we got to do some cute ones under the marquee and out front. It started raining buckets while we were safe under the cover of the marquee--but I had to get a few out in the rain as we were leaving.

Billy leaves at the end of the month to head back to Washington. I loved getting to spend a little time with them and look forward to the wedding in June!
