I met with Megan a little over a year ago and she told me about the plans that she and Roy had made for a wonderful intimate wedding with close friends and family at the Crowne Plaza North in Columbus. Fast forward to this year--they weren't able to postpone being officially married for a year, so at the end of last year they quietly married--so the original wedding date was kept as a day of celebration with friends and family. It was like it was originally planned--just without the ceremony.They decorated the reception area with loads of photos of the two of them over the years--which I loved(of course!) Other than not having a ceremony, it was a evening filled with all the wedding festivities--dinner, toasts, cake(well, adorable cupcakes), and lots and lots of dancing. I forgot to mention, the Michigan State football team was staying at the hotel--so we had them jump into a few of the photos--no hard feelings :-) I love the fact that even though they weren't able to wait for everyone to share in their marriage ceremony--they still kept everyone a part of the celebration!
