MEGAN and ROY-Wedding Reception
I met with Megan a little over a year ago and she told me about the plans that she and Roy had made for a wonderful intimate wedding with close friends and family at the Crowne Plaza North in Columbus. Fast forward to this year--they weren't able to postpone being officially married for a year, so at the end of last year they quietly married--so the original wedding date was kept as a day of celebration with friends and family. It was like it was originally planned--just without the ceremony.
They decorated the reception area with loads of photos of the two of them over the years--which I loved(of course!) Other than not having a ceremony, it was a evening filled with all the wedding festivities--dinner, toasts, cake(well, adorable cupcakes), and lots and lots of dancing. I forgot to mention, the Michigan State football team was staying at the hotel--so we had them jump into a few of the photos--no hard feelings :-) I love the fact that even though they weren't able to wait for everyone to share in their marriage ceremony--they still kept everyone a part of the celebration!

VICKIE and BOO-Wedding
Vickie and Boo's wedding was closer to home than most. It's not unusual to feel like a part of the family once I've worked with a couple and their family during the wedding planning stages and throughout the wedding day. In this case though, Boo(or Clarence if you want to get technical) really is a part of the family. He's my brother-in-law, my husband's brother--and Vickie has already seemed to be a part of the family for what, like 8 years or so. It was a day that we wondered if ever was going to come--but it did--and what a day it was!
They were married in Pleasantville, with Boo's cousin performing the ceremony. The reception food was all prepared by family and friends--and Boo and Vickie. After the yummy meal, the party started with the band that Boo and Vickie have followed--and who have become friends-- providing music for lots of dancing. It was a lovely day, it was great to see all the friends and family that came together for the happy occasion. Welcome to the family--officially--Vickie!

KRISTIN and ERIC-Wedding
Kristin and Eric's wedding day was a day filled with lots of beautiful touches. From the red accents on everything from Kristin's dress & the flowers to the reception with red decor and the accents on the cake. It was also a day filled with joy and it was shared with all of their family and friends. Eric and Kristin have been together since high school and this day was anticipated by so many--and Kristin and Eric didn't let them down. The ceremony was very beautiful and personal and gave all of the guests a bit of insight into Kristin and Eric's long relationship(for those who haven't known them throughout the relationship).
After the ceremony, we took some photos on the beautiful grounds of their church and then it was off for dinner and the party at one of the most unique venues in Columbus, The Valley Dale Ballroom. The Valley Dale is a beautiful, old, historic ballroom(in case you're not familiar) and has been updated, yet keeps it's original beauty and charm. After dinner, the party started and didn't miss a beat. What a beautiful day--I hope all of Kristin and Eric's days will be filled with as much love and beauty as their wedding day!
