I got the opportunity to go to Athens again! This time it was for Della and Jeremy's engagement session. We walked around campus and then roamed the streets and alleys of downtown Athens. I finally got the chance to try out a few of the spots that I've been eyeing when I've been there for weddings. It seems like wedding day is almost always too rushed for extra stops--which is one reason that I love getting to do the much more relaxed engagement sessions. These are just a few from the many that we did--with lots more to come!

JENNIFER and ADAM-Engagement Session Ohio State University & The Arena District
I spent Saturday at Ohio University in Athens and Sunday it was a trip to The Ohio State University to meet up with Jennifer and Adam for their engagement session. The closer I got to the stadium, the worse the weather got. Then , when I was almost there, I realized that construction had all of the exits close to the university closed. I thought this was an omen of things to come--but once we arrived at our meeting place at the stadium, the skies started clearing. We then went over to Mirror Lake--and got caught in quite a downpour--I had several umbrellas. In the car. On the other side of Mirror Lake. All worked out--we found a great dry spot under some trees and it passed in 5 minutes. We then continued our walk around campus and headed over to the ampitheatere where there had obviously been a wedding the day before. There were rose petals everywhere--and butterflies. Jennifer wanted to get one to come to her, so I suggested picking up some flowers--and it worked! We got some great photos with her new little friend. I even had one land on my foot. How cool is that? After all of that excitement, we headed over to the Arena District to do a few fun hockey shirt photos--for a whole different look. Another awesome couple!

STEPHANIE and SCOTT-Ohio University Wedding at Galbreath Chapel, Ohio University Inn Wedding Reception
Client Gallery for Stephanie and Scott click here
We had a fabulous day for a wedding in Athens Ohio this past weekend! It was a little hot--but so-o-o much of an improvement over our last few rainy wedding days. The bride and groom are such a gorgeous couple --and they were so much fun--all day--from start to finish. Anyone who knows me , knows that Athens is one of my favorite places to shoot--and actually one of my favorite places. Period. From the ceremony at Galbreath Chapel on the campus of Ohio University, to the time out on college green, to Court Street and a quick stop at W.G. Grinder's where they met several years ago--Stephanie and Scott had fun every step of the way--and were so enthusiastic! I love it! We got so many great shots and finished up the beautiful, fun-filled day and night at their reception at the Ohio University Inn. Stephanie, Scott and their friends and family kept the dance floor packed all night!

COMBS FAMILY-Alley Park Family Photo Session
I had the pleasure of getting to work with a family that I have worked with several times in the past for both a wedding and a senior session. This time it was a family session and it brought the whole crew together. We met at Alley Park and set up a lot of different groups. They have always been so much fun to work with-- and this day was no exception. It was great to get to see and work with everyone again and I look forward to the next time!

Fourth of July at Buckeye Lake
We spent the 4'th of July running back and forth between Lancaster and Buckeye Lake and back. With the boys being in the parade, we headed into Lancaster early on, then it was back to Buckeye Lake for a family cookout. It started out with rain--and the kids(even the big ones) playing video games--but then the skies cleared and it was time for tube wars between the boys and girls--with the girls being the champions--of course it helped that the girls outnumbered the boys 6-3--but it was lots of fun to watch!
