What a Memorial Day weekend! We kicked off our now to be non-stop wedding season with Katie and Joe's wedding on the campus of The Ohio State University. Their florist, Griffin's Floral Design www.griffinsfloraldesigns.com did a fabulous job with flowers in some of my favorite spring, bright, happy colors! The beautiful ceremony was held at The St. Thomas More Newman Center www.thenewmancenter.net right on campus. We went on a little jaunt into downtown Columbus and to Mirror Lake back on campus for a few photos. The reception was back on campus at The Huntington Club right in Ohio Stadium. I think this will be the reception that will stay in their guest's memories for many years to come. Many thanks to Pete from Ohio State Facilities Management for being so great with the photo ops at the stadium--and I'm sure Katie and Joe's guests thank you as well. I can't recall the last time I saw that many guests who were having that much fun!

TALLMADGE HEALTH WALK
Well, the original day of the annual Health Walk at Tallmadge was rained out. The kids still got to end the day with the entertainment of Bob Piascik. He had all of the students , teachers and parents in attendance singing and dancing along. My kids only complaint was that there were too many Hannah Montana songs for their liking. The walk is rescheduled for next week --hopefully the weather will cooperate this time around.

CAMEO LEAGUE BALL 2008 at The Lancaster Country Club
The place to be Saturday night in Lancaster, was the Lancaster Country Club for the 2008 Cameo League Ball. This is an annual fundraiser to support the Lancaster Festival. The theme this year was Egyptian Allure and the decor transformed the club into a hot Egyptian night. One of the highlights of the night was the auction of a painting created specifically for the Lancaster Festival by local artist Robert Wright , www.robertwrightart.com The winning bidder was Lancaster Mayor Dave Smith. After the excitement of the auction, the party really got going with Agent 99, www.agent99live.com playing into the night with a packed dance floor until the end. It was great to get to see some old friends, make some new ones and help out in our own little way for one of the highlights of summer--the Lancaster Festival www.lanfest.org If you've never been--check it out this July!!!

TARA-Senior photography in the Hocking Hills
Tara 's senior session was a first for me. I have been to the Hocking Hills to photograph many a wedding, family sessions, and of course lots of times to hike--but Tara is my first venture there for a senior session. I must say it was worth the trip(of course, it always is). We started at her house to get photos with the dogs and her dad's cool bike(see a trend here?) We headed out to Cedar Falls-- and of course got photos with the waterfall. There were also lots of stops along the way for many other cool background and lighting opportunities. It's just one of those places that, no matter how many times you visit, you always see something new.

GRANT-Baby & Child Photography Lancaster Ohio
I had to post a few from this session. The session was a surprise Mother's Day gift for his mom--planned by her sister and her mom. It happened to be just the right time for his one-year old pictures. Have you ever seen such a happy little guy? Neither of my guys were ever this cooperative for photos--especially when clothes changes were involved. I heard from mom and she loved them--how could you not?

AMBER-Lancaster High School senior photography
Here are a few from Amber's senior session. We had a fantastic time starting out at my place, visiting Alley Park-- and then heading out to her house to get a few photos with her dad's cool bike. Amber is one of those people who is unbelievably comfortable in front of the camera--so she was a dream to work with! We even got in a few with her boyfriend who seemed to be into session at the start--but was wandering away towards the end. This is the preview--lots more to come!

JEN AND JERRY-Engagement Photos in Downtown Columbus
I had a fantastic time on Sunday with Jen and Jerry for their engagement session. Jen used to work with me at Cord Camera. I was so happy to hear from her that she was planning on getting married and was so-o-o excited to get to finally meet Jerry. He is just as wonderful as she told me--and you can tell how much in love they are just by looking at them! We had planned on starting at North Bank Park for the session--but when I arrived, there was a wedding--so it was time to regroup. We decided to stay downtown and I found some cool spots--kinda' spur of the moment. I do love to explore new places--one of the perks of my job--and it keeps the creativity flowing! I think we got some great stuff--here are a few to start out with--lots more to come!

STONE SOUP
Both of the boys made their acting debut in their classroom production of Stone Soup. The funniest part is they both played the part of Bill Lowni in their respective classrooms. It did make it easier for practice at home. Here are a few from Christian's class. Unfortunately, we had to split up since both plays happened at the same time. Jim has a few from the other classroom that we'll get posted later. Equal time and all!
